Has a gift for teaching piano

My son, Chase has been a piano student of Mrs. Laurie Resila for 4 years.  During these 4 years Chase has grown so much under her instruction. Laurie always greets us with a friendly hello and a smile.  She is enthusiastic and positive and this positivity is exactly what Chase has needed.  Laurie strives to make piano fun with an incentive program where students can practice and/or go “above and beyond” expectations and earn “happy notes” that win them prizes!  Laurie encourages Chase to explore many genres of music and is open to Chase choosing the genre he enjoys most.  This has helped Chase develop his own passion for music. Laurie has great communication with parents and students alike and explains concepts and progress in detail.  Laurie has often encouraged Chase to participate in NYSSMA.  This has been a positive experience because Laurie prepares him well, meets him at his performance, and encourages him greatly!  Because of Laurie Resila, Chase has always performed well at these adjudications.  Laurie has a gift for teaching piano.  When Chase arrives on a day when he is stressed or tired and lacks motivation, Laurie has him playing and smiling by the end of the 30 minutes without fail.  We are blessed to have Laurie Resila as our piano teacher!
